We are looking for science fiction / speculative fiction short stories from 500 to 9,000 words. The science fiction elements can be subtle - it doesn’t have to have space ships or be set in the future; we like speculation. Surprise us.
We don’t do straight fantasy or horror, they have to be blended with science fiction themes, or have a sci-fi feel to them, or at least fit in with what we publish each issue. We like literary fiction. If you have a literary work that you feel fits in with the stuff we publish, by all means try us. We’ll read anything you care to send. Science fiction stands the best chance though.
We pay a token payment of $1 for each story we publish. Wish it was more. Maybe someday we will be in a position to do so…
